Last Tuesday was a no fun day at the Rich home!
Coulson is potty training right now and so the other day he went potty and then climbed up on the counter to get his treat out of the "potty treat" jar. The bathroom floor was wet from him just having a bath and on his way down, he slipped and cut his chin open. I, of course, did not stay calm when I picked him up from the floor and saw the big gash on his chin with blood gushing every where. I panicked and couldn't find my cell phone (I later found it on the table, I obviously was not thinking straight) so I ran to the neighbor's house, where I called Nate and told him Coulson would need stitches and we needed to take him to the ER. He came home right away and we took him in. It was a long day! He ended up getting 7 stitches. They tried to glue it back together, but it was too big of a gash. Here are some pictures of our eventful day!

Tonight we went and got the stitches taken out...

We had to let the medication sit for an hour while it got numb. We got creative!

That night when I was reading him his bedtime stories, he told me his tongue was hurting. I didn't know why, so I took him in the bathroom and had him stick his tongue out. I about died when I saw his tongue. He had bitten 2 big chunks out of it when he had fallen. He had little flaps of skin you could actually pick up. I felt so bad. It looked awful, this picture doesn't even come close to how bad it looked.

I think I have brainwashed Coulson a little, because every time he does something dangerous he shouldn't, I always say, "You better not do that or I will have to to take you to the hospital" When he fell, he kept saying, "Mom, please don't take me to the hospital."
I felt so bad for him, but he was so brave and never complained about it hurting at all. Kids are so tough, I think it is the Moms that are the babies. We love you so much Coulson!
