2 Weeks Old!!

I can't believe our sweet little Coulson is 2 weeks old already. Time flies! He is such a joy and brings an amazing spirit into our home. We just can't get enough of him. We are in love!!

D-day has come and gone...

I feel like I am sitting on a ticking time bomb. My anxiety is getting the better part of my daily routines. All I can think about is when our precious little son is going to come to this Earth. We are currently a day past the given due date and I just try not to think about when he is going to be here. That helps to keep my feelings at bay.

We went to the doctor today and received good news. The doctor told us, "I can probably guarantee that you will have your baby this weekend." I guess that is good news because that is the way we are choosing to take it. I suppose it could mean that we are probably not going to have the baby this weekend. If that is all it takes to be a doctor, making an educated guess when the odds are already in your favor then sign me up for medical school. I say that with a smile on my face just to give my brother-in-law Greg Rich a hard time.

Congratulations Rendi!!

I just wanted to tell my little sister, Rendi and her new fiance Greg, Congratulations! They are officially engaged! We are so happy for you! They will be getting married August 6, 2009 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were in the same ward up at BYU-Idaho. Greg is from Park City, Utah. We are excited to have you join our family, Greg and Rendi, thanks for being an awesome sister. We love you guys!

Boston Celtics Game!!

This past Monday we were able to go to the TD Banknorth Garden to watch a Boston Celtics Game! It was a lot of fun. We rode the "T" (subway) all the way into Boston with hopes that we could buy some tickets. We knew that the Celtics were playing the Clippers and hopefully there would be some tickets at the ticket office or else a season ticket holder trying to sell them. But to our dismay, when we got there the only tickets that were available were being sold for $125 a piece! So we decided to go outside of the arena to find someone selling their tickets. As soon as we stepped outside a shady looking guy asked us if we were looking for tickets. I told him we were even though I could tell Heidi was scared to talk to this man as she grabbed my hand tighter and gave me the "I'm really scared right now and don't know if I want to talk to this guy" look. He took us down the street to find his friend where we proceeded to be sold on how great the tickets were that he wanted to sell us. Eventually we bought the cheapest tickets he had after we bartered with him for about 5 minutes. He made sure to tell us that the tickets we bought were "The very best seats in the upper section and they were dead center!" More like the best seats if we were playing a game of first one to touch the ceiling wins or if you don't want to see the basketball players then these are the seats for you seats. Either way it was just fun to be there and I am glad Heidi made it up all those stairs being 9 months pregnant. Thanks for going with me honey. It was fun.

The City...

This past Saturday, Nathan and I went into Boston to experience the “city.”  It was a lot of fun, but sure was a lot of walking. I decided that if I want to put myself in labor then that is the way to do it! We rode the subway in and went to Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, which is a fun little shopping area down by the inner harbor. There are lots of little stores for shopping and tons and tons of amazing places to eat!! Outside of the markets, there are street performers where everyone gathers around to watch. After the market, we walked along the harbor and then down to the North End, which is like a “Little Italy.” There are endless little Italian restaurants, which are all so good!! We also stopped by the famous “Mike’s Pastry.” We tried a cannoli and the lobster tail. We had a very enjoyable day together and are excited to experience more of Boston! It is such a beautiful city. 

P.S. I had to get a picture in front of the “City Toilet,” because I thought it was so funny. It cost 25 cents to use. 

Trevor's Baptism and Idaho

Last week, I was able to fly home to be apart of my little brother's baptism. It was such a special occasion and I am so glad I was able to be apart of it. Trevor, I just want you to know how proud we are of you for making this righteous decision. You are such an example to your family and friends. You have an amazing spirit and we are so blessed to have you in our family. Thank you for always being so thoughtful and kind. We love you very much. 

 

I had such a great time while I was in Idaho. It will always be home for me. I just want to tell everyone thank you for welcoming me back again. Thank you to Criss and Randy for a fun evening watching our favorite show "American Idol" and having yummy guacamole and chips. I had fun watching it and hanging out together again. Thank you to my family for a fun week. I enjoyed going to recitals, wrestling matches, lunches, shopping, and just being together as a family. It was too short of a week. And thank you to Nate again for letting me go. I know it was a long week by yourself. Thanks again to everyone!
