Welcome Home Elder Phillips!

On November 4, 2008 our Elder Aaron Phillips returned home with
honor. It was one of the most exciting days for our family!
We waited patiently at the Salt Lake Airport for him to arrive.
(Thanks Babe for being the Photographer and Video Taper!)

Finally, after 2 years in waiting our Brother and Son
arrived! It was so good to see him. He hadn't changed much just
got taller. He definitely was a new and improved man though!

We all were so excited and happy to be with him finally.

After leaving the airport, we headed to the Gateway
Mall to get one of our favorite treats, a carmel apple!
I thought it was so funny that while we were at the Mall,
Aaron made the comment that everyone was so pretty
here compared to those in Arkansas!
For dinner, we took Aaron to our family's favorite
resturant, Tepanyaki! The food was amazing and it was
so good to just listen to Aaron.

After we got home that night, we had a couple of surprises
for Aaron! First, a new cell phone!

An Ipod!

A quilt with some of this mission pictures.

And last but not least, Nathan and I's big suprise!
Aaron will be an Uncle in April! Nathan and I are expecting
our first little baby April 7, 2009! We are so excited!

We had already told the rest of our family about our new

little one, but we were waiting to tell Aaron in person when he

got home. I know a lot of you were wondering if we were ever

going to post about it, but we just didn't want Aaron to find out

through our blog. So sorry it took so long!

Welcome Home Aaron, it is so good to have you back.
I have enjoyed spending time with you and hearing
all the wonderful things you have been doing the past
2 years. Love ya bro!

Nathan and I are so excited to become a Dad and Mom!
We can't wait for our little one to come. Hope everyone
votes on our poll whether it is a boy or girl, because we
will be letting you know very soon.

Baseball and Camping Fun!

Nate is playing competitive baseball again this season. He wasn't going to play, because he claimed that he was too old! But with some convincing, we got him to play. I love going to his games and watching! I would have to say he is pretty good for an old guy! HA HA- J/K Honey!!
I love camping! Nate and I and my little sister, Rendi and her best friend (they live in Rexburg too) all went camping a couple of weeks ago. Us girls have so much fun, but I think my poor husband feels picked on to have to take us girls camping. Poor guy! He usually just sits by the fire and listens to us girls giggle all night and talk girl stuff. Thanks Babe for being such a great sport!

Summer Update...

Labor Day seems to always be so much fun. It is like the last hooray for the Summer! This Labor Day, Nate and I went home to Rupert and spent 3-4 days there. We had so much fun, but the weather sure put a damper on our exciting plans. One thing that we did that was a lot of fun was we hung a sheet from the roof of our house in the back yard and watched one of our family's favorite movies. It was freezing (as you can tell by all of the blankets and sweaters)! But it was definitely a great memory.

This past weekend, we went up to Mesa Falls with some of our friends. We had a lot of fun! We stopped at Warm River and fed the fish. I am amazed how stinkin big those fish are there every time I go. Mesa Falls was so beautiful. I loved the lower falls.

After visiting the falls, we went on a little hike to see an old train tunnel near Bear Gulch. The view from the train tunnel was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. I love living in Rexburg, because there are so many beautiful places around to visit. It was a very enjoyable day!

Happy 70th Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa and Happy Birthday Nathan!

On Saturday, Nathan's Grandma and Grandpa celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. Can you believe it, 70 years! Now that is impressive! Nate's family had a little celebration and family reunion in Twin Falls. It was a wonderful day! We started off going to the Twin Falls Temple Open house and then to the Blue Lakes Country Club. At the Club, we had a lucheon and then some went golfing and others went to Bass Lake. Nate loves to golf, so we went golfing. I didn't golf, I just drove the golf cart and took pictures! It is a beautiful course! We had a fun day together as a family. Thanks Mel for planning a memorable day!

Sunday was Nathan's 29th Birthday! Wo, can you believe that! We were in Rupert so we were able to celebrate with our families.

Happy Birthday Nate! I just wanted to tell you how much I love you! I can't imagine my life without you. I hope you had a great day!

David Archuleta's New Single!

I know you all probably think that I have an obsession with David Archuleta (I might), but I just thought I would post his first new song to see what everybody thought of it. Hope you like it...

I told Nate that I was going to post this and he said that our blog was becoming the Heidi and David Archuleta Blog instead of Nathan and Heidi Rich Blog!! Ha ha, I have such a funny husband!!
