Mommy and Me Gym and Swim Class!!

Coulson and I were able to take a fun Mommy and Me Gym and Swim class at our YMCA. We took it with our good friends, Kristen and Claire. We went once a week for 7 weeks. We had a lot of fun and I think Coulson really enjoyed it, especially the swimming part. He learned a lot of things, like going under water and jumping in. Now we have a little fish on our hands! Oh and notice how Coulson always has a ball in his hands. He is all boy!

Baptism...

We had a very special day this past Saturday. Nate was able to baptize our friend, Dan! The sister missionaries in our ward found him tracting one day. He came to church and Nate and him hit it off that first Sunday and became good friends after that. We had him in our home for lessons and went to his home for lessons as well. We are so grateful that Dan is now a member!

Nate always says that the Lord sends us to these different areas for a reason. Sometimes I wonder what that reason is. As we were sitting in sacrament on Sunday and Dan was walking up to be confirmed, one of my Mom-like friends sweetly reached up and hugged me and said, now you know why you were sent to Kirtland, Ohio. That touched me so much to know that Heavenly Father did send us here for a reason.

Memorial Day in Amish Country

For Memorial Day, our friends and us went and visited a little community an hour from our home, where the Amish reside and live. It was quite interesting to see their lifestyle. It isn't very respectful to take pictures of them or else I would have loved to. Here are a few pictures we did get...

So cute!
Coulson and Claire looking at all the homemade Amish things!
Riding in a Amish buggie!

Liam petting the baby goats!
Coulson loved all the animals... but only from a distance!!
Thanks Friends and Tams for a fun day!

Columbus, Ohio Temple

This past Saturday we were able to drive down to the Columbus, Ohio Temple. Nate is in the Young Men and so we went down to do baptisms with the Youth. Nate went inside while I stayed outside with Coulson. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful temple. I was surprised how tiny it was compared to the temples back home in Idaho and Utah. Hopefully we will one day get a temple here in Kirtland, Ohio!!

Salt Lake City Marathon 2010

When we went home to Idaho for Coulson's Birthday, Nate ran the 1/2 marathon with his brother Greg. It was Nate's first time running in a marathon. We were so proud of him!
Coulson and I got up early that morning and went and cheered them on in a couple locations!
Here we were at the half way point...
They were nice enough to stop and take a couple pictures with us. Coulson was so cute, he waited patiently and kept watching for Nate to ran by. He was so excited to see him!
Off again!
Here they come... almost to the finish line!
Nate was sweet enough to come get Coulson from me the last couple of yards and let him cross the finish line with him. I thought I got a picture, but I must have been too busy video tapping!
Refueling after the race!
Great Job Boys! You did it!!
We love you Daddy and are so proud of you!

Cleveland Cavs VS Boston Celtics (Game 1)

We had a really fun past weekend. Nate got us tickets to go to game 1 of the NBA play-offs between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics. (Our 2 favorite teams, given we have lived in both cities now!!) The ticket office messed up our tickets, so we were able to get some Benchwarmer Passes, which means we got to sit in the player's seats and watch them warm up until it was time to start. It was so awesome to be that close. Coulson loved it! He just kept saying, "Ball, Ball, Ball!!"
For Coulson's birthday, (which I will post about next) we got him a little Lebron James Jersey! He looked so cute it in!!

They had lots of little fun things to do and see outside before the game started...
The Cavalier Dancers...

Coulson was just dying to go out on the court and get a ball.
Then one of the players was so sweet to roll him a ball! He was so excited! Then we had to roll it back, darn it!
Looks like the excitement wore him out!! (See 2nd video below!!)

The video below is when they came out onto the Court. We got to high five them, which was pretty cool! Shaq is the second to last one and Lebron is the last one out!

This news clip was on the news the night of the game. Coulson made it on the news and didn't even know it, because he was fast asleep. They show a shot of him at 1 min 37 sec. So fun!!

P.S. Did I mention we made it on the Jumbo Tron (the big screen in middle of the arena) twice!!!
